Idea: A company-wide name change that turned love into action.

How does a technology company launch a charitable foundation to 50,000 global employees in a way that transcends culture, language and geography while inspiring both pride and impact?

With love.

On October 22nd, Lenovo became Love On, an anagram of our company name and a pledge to donate millions to fund STEM education in underserved communities around the world.

But we didn’t just announce a new name. We changed it everywhere - from the signage at our headquarters in Raleigh and Beijing to our website. Offices around the world celebrated with speakers, live music and hands-on STEM kit building for children.

From our engineers to our CEO, Love On caught on.

The result: thousands of STEM kits built, the highest organic social engagement in company history and a renewed sense of employee pride around the world.
